Store your solar. Use it when it counts.

Your panels do their best work in the middle of the day. Your home uses most of its power at night. A battery closes that gap, and we design, install, and back it with a Sigenergy Gold Installer team.

Why add a battery

The power you export for cents is the power you buy back at night for dollars.

Solar panels only generate while the sun is up, yet most households use the bulk of their electricity in the morning and evening. Without storage, your surplus daytime energy goes to the grid for a shrinking feed-in tariff, then you buy it back after dark at several times the price.

A battery keeps that energy at home. It charges from your panels during the day and powers your house through the evening peak, when grid electricity costs the most. With feed-in tariffs falling and usage rates climbing across South Australia, storing your own power is the single biggest step you can take after installing solar itself.

What changes with storage

Six things a battery does for an Adelaide home.

Solar power, day and night

Use your own generation through the evening instead of switching to grid power the moment the sun drops.

Less grid reliance

Shrink your exposure to rising usage rates by covering the expensive evening peak from storage.

Stop exporting for cents

Store your surplus instead of selling it for a low feed-in tariff and buying it back at night for far more.

Backup in a blackout

Keep nominated circuits running when the grid goes down, configured properly at install, not bolted on later.

Lower bills

Every kilowatt-hour you store and use yourself is one you don't buy at peak evening rates.

Cleaner energy use

More of your consumption comes from your own roof, less from the grid, without changing how you live.

How it works

From first call to switched on.

1

Usage review

We look at your actual electricity bills and your existing solar (if any), then recommend Sigenergy, AlphaESS, or GoodWe based on what suits your home, not whichever margin is highest.

2

Fixed-price quote

A clear quote naming the exact battery model and capacity, with any current rebate or incentive already applied. The price quoted is the price paid.

3

Installation day

Our own SAA accredited team installs, wires backup circuits if specified, and commissions the system, most homes are done in a single day.

4

Handover & support

We set up your monitoring app, walk you through it before we leave, and remain your point of contact for the life of the system.

The batteries we install

Sigenergy, AlphaESS & GoodWe, and the award that backs it up.

We install three battery brands, chosen for proven performance and warranties from manufacturers who’ll still be here in ten years. We’re a Sigenergy Gold Installer and Excellent Installer of the Year award winner, recognition from the manufacturer itself, based on real installation quality and customer outcomes. Comparing capacities, warranties, and which brand suits your situation? The full brand breakdown lives on our battery products page.

Common questions

Home battery questions, answered straight.

How does a home battery work with my solar panels?

Your panels generate power during the day, and whatever your home doesn't use immediately charges the battery instead of being exported to the grid. After sunset, your home draws from the battery first and only falls back to the grid once it's depleted. The whole cycle is automatic, and you can watch it live in the monitoring app.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?

In most cases, yes. We install batteries alongside solar systems of any age and brand, including systems we didn't originally install. At the quote stage we check your inverter, switchboard, and metering to confirm compatibility and recommend the cleanest integration path.

How long does a battery installation take?

Most residential battery installations are completed in a single day. Adding backup circuits or a switchboard upgrade can extend that slightly, and we confirm the timeframe in your fixed-price quote before any work starts.

Which battery brands do you install?

Sigenergy, AlphaESS, and GoodWe, chosen for proven performance and genuine manufacturer warranties. We're a Sigenergy Gold Installer and Excellent Installer of the Year award winner, recognition from the manufacturer itself for installation quality.

Will a battery keep my power on during a blackout?

Yes, if it's configured for backup. A standard grid-tied solar system shuts down in a blackout for safety, but a battery with backup capability keeps selected circuits running, typically lights, the fridge, and power points you nominate. We configure backup circuits as part of the installation, not as an afterthought.

What size battery do I need?

It depends on your evening and overnight usage, not just your solar system size. Most Adelaide homes land between 10kWh and 16kWh, but we size from your actual electricity bills rather than a rule of thumb, so you're not paying for capacity you'll never cycle.

Is there a battery rebate available in South Australia?

Battery incentives change over time, and federal and state programs come and go. We track what's current and apply any eligible rebate or incentive directly to your quote, so the price you see already reflects it.

How long do home batteries last?

Quality lithium batteries are warranted for 10 years and typically retain 70 to 80 percent of their original capacity at the end of that period. Correct sizing and installation make a real difference to lifespan, which is why we design around your actual usage rather than overselling capacity.
